Robertsdale is a small city located in Alabama, the Baldwin County. It has an area of 5.5 square miles and a population of almost 3,500 inhabitants. Robertsdale is known for its 2 notable people: the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, and the basketball player, Obie Trotter.

Robertsdale was founded in 1905, by the Chicago’s Southern Plantation Corporation, Illinois. The present location of the city was chosen because it had fertile farmland. Another reason for this decision was the fact that Nashville and Louisville Railroad extended its line to Foley, Alabama. Dr. B. F. Roberts, an official within the corporation, gave the name of the town. Robertsdale was incorporated in the county of Baldwin in 1921. It is situated right in the middle of the county, it has a small city atmosphere and it grows quickly. People often say about Robertsdale that it is Baldwin County’s hub, because of its central location that offers easy and quick access to the historic and gorgeous ports of Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama, as well as to the lovely sandy beaches in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

This location features beautiful sandy beaches, a camping spot, a resort hotel, and golf courses, and allows visitors to practice water activities. Robertsdale has created various programs for its tourists and residents. Some of the most notable are the Senior Citizen Center and the Youth Tennis Camp. Last but not least, people must not forget about the numerous events that take place here every year. The most important festivity is the Baldwin County Fair, organized every fall. There is also the Honeybee Festival in autumn, a rodeo and the Farming Festival. Locals say that Robertsdale is the country of God and they might be right considering the large number of activities and attractions it comprises.
