Hoover has also welcomed many new businesses to the area. This includes restaurants like Longhorn Steakhouse, Taco Bell, and Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as the relocation of tech giant Best Buy. Hoover has also seen numerous small businesses take root, including a new hair salon and a cafe.

The median age in Hoover is late 30s. A majority of Hoover’s residents are college-educated adults who work in white collar jobs. This means Hoover is also home to many families. These families are buying homes and settling down to raise their kids in a thriving area that offers all the perks of the big city with a small town feel. As Hoover continues to grow, the need for new construction increases. That’s why over a thousand permits for new single family homes were granted in the last 12 months.

Residents of Hoover have everything they could possibly need in their little slice of heaven; however, should they want to get out and explore even further, they have easy access to neighboring Birmingham. Birmingham is the largest city in the state and is thriving with over 200,000 residents. Birmingham is filled with shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment. Residents are also just a quick drive away from Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport to take them wherever their heart desires.
