City of Mobile

Mobile is the oldest settlement and the second largest city in the State of Alabama. Mobilians enjoy nearly one hundred parks, and the only seaport in Alabama, and welcome a fair amount of visitors to their beautiful coastline each year.  Mobile is the home to the Mardis Gras, made famous by the wild revelry of New Orleans.  Mobile is an outdoor lovers paradise, encumbered by water, offering world class fishing, sandy beaches and duck hunting in the Delta.

Mobile is also known as a cultural center, with several art museums, a symphony orchestra, a professional opera, a professional ballet company, and many buildings displaying historic architecture. If fact, Mobile has one of the oldest organized carnival celebrations in the United States, and was host to the first formally organized Carnival mystic society in the United States, back in 1830.

Mobile, Alabama is a big city offering lots of opportunities for earning income.  Residents throughout Alabama commute to this metropolis on a daily basis to earn a living.  Located only about fifteen minutes from Spanish Fort and a little over twenty from Daphne and Fairhope, these communities are great if you seek an easy commute from Mobile.  Point Clear, Magnolia Springs, and Foley are less than an hour away, as well.   Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are farther away, but still make for a nice trip at just over an hour from Mobile.
