Having the ability to sneak a peek inside a sellers mind to see why they chose to live in a subdivision and why they are now choosing to sell can be priceless information for our local Baldwin County homebuyers and the Jason Will Real Estate Team has been dedicated to bringing that level of information to our community for years. Why ask our sellers to share such personal information? First off, we know buyers want to know the answer to the questions we ask just about as much as they want to know how much a seller will take for their property. Second, it provides the ability for a potential buyer to connect with a specific listing, subdivision or even the surrounding community. Last but not least, we want to be the most trusted source for real estate news and information on the Alabama Gulf Coast and our method for attaining that goal will always be to bring helpful information to those we serve.
We are also fortunate enough to be hired by some pretty awesome folks in our community, who don’t have anything to hide and who get the fact that “sneaky” is not a good sales tactic. For our sellers at 10121 Constantine Street in Historic Malbis subdivision, their motivation is simple! They love their house and this is actually the second home they have owned in Historic Malbis subdivision, yet the husband grew up in Loxley, Alabama and is very nostalgic about where he grew up. It wants his children to be able to have similar childhood memories that he still cherishes today. Despite having a very clear and defined objective, our sellers were gracious enough to allow us to dig a little deeper into the their day to day lives in one of most popular neighborhoods on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Please take a moment to read through the details of our conversation below and if you should have additional questions or like to schedule a private tour of the residence, please call our sales office at 251-866-6464 or send the Listing Agent an email to dianawill@southalabamaliving.com.
JWRE: “Why did you guys decided to sell your previous home in Historic Malbis and purchase this one just a few blocks over?”
Seller: “We have a growing family and needed more living space and this one had a much larger backyard for the kids to play.”
JWRE: “Were schools a factor in your original decision to move into this specific subdivision?”
Seller: “Absolutely! We wanted to be in the Rockwell Elementary School District, as it is one of the best in Baldwin County.”
JWRE: “In addition to the great space, what do you like most about your home?”
Seller: “Being in the construction industry, I know a lot of people prefer to have their master on the first floor of the home but we actually like having a two-story home with the master on the second floor. We have small children, so it is nice being close to them at night. It also allows more space for the open floor plan downstairs.”
JWRE: “Have you guys made any improvements to the home?”
Seller: “We put down very attractive wood laminate flooring upstairs, so there is no more carpet in the house at all. We painted the inside of the house, upgraded the kitchen appliances and enclosed the yard with a new privacy fence.”
JWRE: “Where do y’all do most of your shopping?”
Seller: “Publix is very convenient and close! We love being so close to everything. If we find ourselves in need of diapers, it’s right there!”
JWRE: “Any routine activities that y’all enjoy in Historic Malbis?”
Seller: “This is a garden style home community, so everyone has front porches. We love taking our 3 kids for walks around the subdivision and visiting with our neighbors. We have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and have always felts safe walking or running in the community, even at night.”
JWRE: “What will you miss most about life on Constantine Street once the house sells and y’all move closer to family in Loxley?”
Seller: “We will miss the openness of the floor plan and our big backyard. This has been a good home to us. The location is incredible and of course we will be sacrificing being so convenient to great shopping and dining to be close to my parents. Having a Lowe’s basically across the street and a Starbucks on the other side of Interstate 10, is going to a difficult transition for me.”
