In this episode, Jason invites guests Diana Will, of the Diana Will Team, Movement Mortgage NMLS 1740691 (his wife) and business owner, Chef Tyler Lyne on to discuss Tyler’s new business ventures in the food industry. In this conversation, they discuss everything from Tyler’s own passion for food, life-changing shifts with COVID, and the future opening of Tyler’s upcoming restaurant this fall.
Jason opens the conversation talking about the recent experience he and his wife had as Tasting TBL guests in Tyler’s home in celebration of Joey Mure’s birthday. Joey has his own investment firm, Wealth Without Wall Street and is someone you should hire ASAP. This concept is unlike any other! Learn how Tyler and his wife run this business out of their home and create an unforgettable night for their guests.
With a brief history of Tyler’s evolving passion for food, we find out the importance of his Texan background and culinary experience at the @The Culinary Institute of America. Through this experience, his working for free at a local bistro, and then his endeavor to work for a new restaurant in New York, Tyler’s expertise was sharpened. COVID quickly brought their life, after 16 yrs in New York, to a halt. Tyler shares about his family’s transition to buying a home in Alabama—sight unseen, and how the concept for his restaurant came to be.
This fall, Tyler is looking to open up “Frenchie’s”, what he refers to as a hardcore French brunch restaurant. Working to differentiate themselves and bring something new to the Alabama area, Tyler is working to stay away from any ‘southern twist’ for his business. Tyler draws unique parallels between the French and Southern cultures that he believes will prove success for their restaurant. Through their current in-home business during #COVID (The Tasting Table), Tyler and his wife Jen are creating what Jason calls “loyalists”.
Jason encourages all the listeners in the Alabama area to try the Tasting Table experience—he said you owe it to yourself! Don’t miss out on watching the exciting evolution Tyler will undergo in the Alabama area with the magic and memories he and Jenn are creating, one supper at a time.
