Billy is a Motivational Strategist, Life Coach, and Public Speaker. He graced the stage at my real estate conference event this past April in New Orleans. He is such a gifted speaker. At #impactagent, he elevated the mindset of my audience, he gave them a tactical blueprint to grow their business, and left them motivated to take action. It was awesome!
I asked him to join me for lunch for some one on one mentorship. Now that #JWRE is under the incredible leadership of Jeremy Sullivan and I’ve partnered with the most servant-hearted real estate professional on the planet, April Mccraney, I am ready to rebuild my own personal real estate business. I have always chased business. This time around I want to attract it. If you want to be a people magnet, you should seek the advice of one.
People often refer to Billy a the unofficial “Mayor of Daphne.” So, how does a real estate agent who’s spent most of his time behind a computer marketing, reinvent himself as a legitimate public figure and build a successful referral based business? For starters, I take Jeff Allen’s advice and I start spending more time out of the office, then in it. You press the flesh. Get belly to belly in service of the community. I will be making myself available to speak on marketing, business, and team building. I will be donating my time to volunteer as much as possible. What local non-profit organizations could use my time and energy?
I will also be hosting at least 2 community events per month with the Jason Will Real Estate Team, so be on the look-out for chances to score an invite to one of those. Billy also gave me some super tactical advice that I wanted to share:
1. Sunday Evening Weekly Planning Session – Schedule time every Sunday evening to plan goals and action steps for the week ahead.
2. Commit to being responsible.
3. Turn your drive time into “Drive Time University” with Audible and podcast apps like Switcher.
4. Send handwritten notes to say thank you.
