Stonebridge Spanish Fort Houses For Sale by Sarha Williams of the Jason Will Real Estate Team powered by JPAR Coast and County. Read her interview with the sellers of 12741 Chickadee Lane, Spanish Fort below:
Sarha: What were the deciding factors that led you to buy this DR Horton home?
Seller: “The location of our home was a huge factor for us due to working in Mobile at the time of when we built our home. We also enjoyed being close to I-10, different beaches including Pensacola, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach. Spanish Fort was a community that was recommended to us by numerous friends when we moved to Baldwin County, because of the schools and location to stores.”
Sarha: Were Spanish Fort schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?
Seller: “Schools were a major factor for us. We wanted to be in the Spanish Fort feeder pattern and wanted to ensure our kids went to top schools within Baldwin County. With the new Stonebridge Elementary School, we love having our children go to school within their own neighborhood.”
Sarha: What have become your favorite aspects of this amazing home?
Seller: “There are many aspects of our home that have become our favorite. The street we live on is by far the best street in the neighborhood. Living in the cul-de-sac has kept our area quiet and more private than other parts of Stonebridge. We have also grown to love the privacy of our lot and bird/nature watching behind the house. Enjoying our morning coffee on the back porch has become a regular routine for us.”
Sarha: Where do you find yourself spending the most time in your home and why?
Seller: “I think it depends on who you talk to in the family. Alex loves his office space area in our 4th bedroom because it’s quiet and he can close the door when he needs to get focused, I love our front sitting room because I can read and still be accessible to the kids, and the boys love the kitchen because they love to eat. It’s nice for each of us to have our own areas where we can go and enjoy quiet time, but we can all be together as a family in the gathering room. The covered back porch is also a favorite spot that we use all year long from grilling and watching sports to sitting and listening to the rain showers.”
Sarha: What improvements have you made to the property since the purchase?
Seller: “The beauty of our home was it was chosen and built by us . We watched every process and were able to cater colors, upgrades, and changes to our liking. There was not much for us to do when we first moved in, but over the last 5 years we have added the backsplash in the kitchen, added shiplap and paint to the front sitting room/dining room area, upgraded all ceiling fans and the foyer light. We also installed an irrigation system to the front lawn, recessed lighting on the front porch, the outdoor shower area, and flooring in the attic.”

Sarha: What are your favorite shops in and around town?
Seller: “We enjoy shopping at the Eastern Shore Center where you can find many popular stores such as Barnes and Noble, Shoe Station, Bath and Body Works, and Kirklands. Sams Club is conveniently located for us to stock up on essentials and is next to Lowes for home improvement needs. We also love being close to Best Buy, Tuesday Morning, and the Dollar Store.”
Sarha: Any interests or hobbies you enjoy near Stonebridge?
Seller: “Our two neighborhood pools became our favorite spots in the summer. We are also big beach bums and enjoyed fishing and kayaking at the Gulf State Park in Perdido Key. 5 Rivers Delta on the causeway was always a fun place to enjoy the Delta and many of the walking trails and bay sunsets in Fairhope became regular routines for our family.”
Sarha: Average utility costs in summer and winter?
Seller: “Riviera in the summer was around $200 due to the air cooling the home and Spire gas in the winter was around $60 if the heat was on.“
Sarha: What will you miss most about living in or owning this property?
Seller: “Our upgrades, the space we have as a family to spread out, and the back porch are all things that we will miss. The cul-des-ac has been perfect for our boys to ride bikes, scooters, and play outside throughout the year.“
Sarha: What will you miss most about your neighborhood and/or surrounding community?
Seller: “The Stonebridge community is great for families who want to enjoy neighborhood amenities such as pools, sports fields, playgrounds, and walking sidewalks for exercising. We enjoy walking and biking through the neighborhood and knowing it is a safe place to live. We enjoy attending Spanish Fort High School football and baseball games and having our kids play rec sports through the Spanish Fort Sports Association. The public library system in Baldwin County is top notch for community engagement and checking out books. There is a public library located close to Stonebridge off HWY 31.“
