The following interview with the sellers themselves, sheds light on the personal aspect of actually living in and enjoying the delightful attributes of 8926 Lake View Drive:
Jason: How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?
Seller: “We drove by the house several times and just kept coming back to it. We thought that we wanted a different floor plan initially, but once we walked in, we knew it was the one. It is so inviting, coastal and charming! The floor plan was a perfect fit for our little guy and then worked perfectly when we added a little sister to the mix. The neighborhood was total luck. It is such an active and friendly neighborhood! We’ve made some lifelong friends from living in Fairfield Place!”
Jason: Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?
Seller: “Yes, when we bought, Cooper was only a baby, but we knew we would want him to attend Fairhope Schools, so that was a very important factor for us. We absolutely love the energy at Fairhope Elementary and couldn’t imagine a better place to send our kids!”
Jason: What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?
Seller: “My favorite qualities of this home are:
- The sprawling front porch. There is nothing better than front porch swinging as the sunsets over Fairhope. Such sweet memories rocking Cooper on that swing and watching them ride their toys up and down the driveway.
- Not having any backyard neighbors is always a big draw to us. We love living in a neighborhood, but love having a little privacy in the backyard.
- The kitchen is always one of my favorite places, and this one lends itself to be a perfect kitchen for entertaining, hanging out with kids, and nightly supper time! My favorite feature in the kitchen is the built in pantry, trash drawer and banks of drawers throughout.
- My next favorite thing about the house is the split floor plan. We loved having the kids on the other side of the living room. They basically had the other half of the house! It was ideal for us.
- The built in’s in the living room are one of my favorite features. They really finish the look of the room and make it easy to place TV, etc in the space.”
Jason: Where do you find yourself spending the most time in the home and why?
Seller: “We spent most of our time at the counter height breakfast bar, living room and breakfast area. The space is so functional, useful and has great flow to outside. You can sit at the bar and watch TV or hang with people in the kitchen.”
Jason: What are your favorite grocery stores and shops in the area?
Seller: “I love the convenience of Winn Dixie, Piggly Wiggly and Walmart from this house. It’s so easy to run to any of these stores and shopping areas.”
Jason: What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?
Seller: “We love Fairhope so much, and couldn’t think about leaving! We are just heading to the other side of 98. The neighbors in Fairfield Place are top notch and we will definitely miss Halloween in there! It’s the best trick-or-treat neighborhood in Fairhope by far.”
Jason: If you don’t mind me asking, why have you decided to sell your home?
Seller: “We decided to sell our home because we need different space. Our kids are at the point of needing a little more room to grow, so we’ve decided to build a home that is two-stories and will give the kids more personal living space, as well as us!”
