Agent: How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?
Seller: “We were looking for the perfect “starter home”, something we could grow into. We also loved the Silverhill community. I’m a planner, so I was thinking “schools”, “neighborhood picnics”, “lower cost of living” – we’ve been so happy on all accounts.”
Agent: Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?
Seller: “Yes, we’ve loved the Silverhill Schools. Wonderful teachers and administrators with smaller class sizes.”
Agent: What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?
Seller: “We love that there are empty lots on either side and a large empty field behind us – we’re in a neighborhood, but we don’t feel “on top” of our neighbors. The layout of the house is wonderful – from the open family area to the split layout of the bedrooms. The backyard is fenced in with a beautiful large trees, perfect for lazy afternoons and entertaining. The wall paint! We recently painted and upgraded to “scrub-able paint” – it’s amazing! It’s not really a “feature” – but we love our neighbors and the community. Just wait until Christmas! Silverhill has the most precious Christmas light display. We would take the boys through town every night after dinner to enjoy.“
Agent: Where do you find yourself spending the most time in the home and why?
Seller: “We spend most of our time in the heart of the home – the family room. When you’re there, you’re central to all the action.”
Agent: What improvements have you made to the home or property over the years?
Seller: “We added a covering to the back patio, shutters and landscaping to the front. The grinder pump for the sewer system was just replaced. As mentioned earlier, 90% of the interior was recently repainted with top quality paint.”
Agent: What are your favorite grocery stores and shops in the area?
Seller: “We’re less than 10 min from the Robertsdale Wal-Mart, and right at 10 min to the Fairhope Wal-Mart. We love the coffee shop at “Silverhill Market” and frequent their location regularly. There are several wonderful restaurants in the area – perfect for “dinner to go.”
Agent: Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?
Seller: “We love to enjoy the multiple parks in the area. The Oscar Johnson park has a lovely little stream that the kids enjoy splashing in. The kids park is perfect to run off energy and is never crowded. We also love to visit the multiple shops in the downtown Silverhill area. Our location is centrally located to the beaches, the bay, Easter Shore Center, and Mobile. You’re only a short drive to any activity you choose. We are “on the go” literally every weekend – simply because there is so much to enjoy on the Eastern Shore.”
Agent: Average utility costs in summer and winter?
Seller: “Our water bill is usually $25.00 a month (never higher than $35.00) Our Electricity averages $125.00. The hottest/coldest months have occasionally crept to $150.00 – very rare. Sewer is $55.00 every month. Garbage is $60.00 every quarter.”
Agent: What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?
Seller: “This has been a wonderful home to raise children and make memories in. I love this home/community in the Fall and around Christmas. I Love the way the red front door looks when decorated for the different seasons. Moving away from such wonderful neighbors and memories is never easy – but we are excited to give a new family the opportunity.”

Seller: “The only reason we are selling is because we are now joining 2 families, and are making room for “yours, mine, and one day ours.”
