Are you looking for an affordable Fairhope AL home for sale on a beautiful tree-lined street? We give our new listing at 21376 South Meadows Drive two green thumbs way up for its mature trees and lusciously green landscaping throughout this quaint little subdivision of attractive homes! A few housekeeping notes before we get started, the major one being that this IS deeded property and NOT in the Fairhope Single Tax District. More often than not, we have a few 36532 home buyers that prefer to navigate their real estate search around colony property due to the 99-year lease wording that replaces the “Warranty Deed” verbiage. For a detailed explanation of the Fairhope Single Tax Colony, simply call our COO, Diana Will at 251-583-9728. The second important fact is for my HOA antagonists out there, as Moseley Meadows does not have a formal Homeowners Association, nor are there any dues collected monthly, quarterly or annually. That said, we have got lots of great details to cover in this blog, as our sellers have invested a lot of their time, money and energy into updating this home into a picture perfect “Pottery Barn Buyer on a Budget” residential masterpiece.

Before we get into all the renovation information, I am going to share some insight from the sellers as to their personal journey as homeowners and the labor of love that followed for their first home purchase as a married couple via the brief interview chronicled below:
Jason: “What were the deciding factors that led to the purchase of 21376 S. Meadows Drive?”
Seller: “We relocated to the area for work and fell in love instantly with the Fairhope area and began looking for our first home to purchase as a young family. When we stepped into the foyer, I remember falling connecting instantly to the overall natural feel and décor of the house as well as all the large, bright windows, especially in the dining area. We liked that the dining area and living area are open to each other, but liked that the kitchen was separate, keeping our dirty dishes hidden! We also REALLY liked the quaint, small neighborhood environment. We could not ask for better neighbors. The people are very friendly and are often out walking the neighborhood with their strollers or their dogs. The street has great trees and vegetation as well as has uniquely different homes in style and architecture. We also really liked the extensive greenery around the house itself, which made it feel warm and inviting to us. And finally, a HUGE selling point for us was the private backyard! We also learned that the property behind ours is a horse farm, so no future developments and loss of green-space are planned any time in the foreseeable future.”
Jason: “How did you know the floor plan would be a good fit for your soon to be growing family?”
Seller: “We liked the fact that all three bedrooms were together down a single hallway, because we were planning to have babies and wanted them to be near us. The original floor plan was a little on the small side, yet we knew the large lot gave us plenty of room to add on down if we still liked living in this location once we had children. As it turns out, we grew so attached to our little neighborhood, that we decided to add on to the house as opposed to moving. We have since added two additions and we REALLY enjoy being able to dedicated one of those extra rooms as a playroom for our kids. It’s also nice that is near the kitchen so I can keep an eye on them while I’m cooking. Best of all, we ADORE the sunroom. The lighting is amazing. For years it was our primary family room with TV, stereo, wrap around leather sofas, a dining area, an office/work space, and an area for our exercise equipment. We practically lived out in the sunroom but just recently decided it needed to be cleared out in preparation for putting the home on the market.”
Jason: “What would you say are the top selling features that you hope interested buyers will also appreciate?”
Seller: “I would like buyers to first notice that this is a well established neighborhood and to understand how truly safe we feel here, how welcoming the neighbors have been and to take a minute to appreciate the beauty of our tree-lined street. I love the privacy of our backyard, the spaciousness of the sunroom and the functionality of the open living/dining area. We get a lot of use out of the workshop attached to the carport. I never get tired of admiring our beautiful engineered hardwood floors. We are avid readers, so it will be know surprise to everyone to hear about how much we love the built-in bookshelves we have added. This is our first house as a married couple and as parents. The memories we have made as a family here will stay with us forever and above all, I know that what we have created here with all the updates and additions, will serve a new family very well moving forward.”
Jason: “You have mentioned how much you like your neighbors but what can you tell us about fun neighborhood events or your favorite leisure activities in the community?”
Seller: “For your blog readers that may not be very familiar with Fairhope and perhaps moving to the area for work as we did, let me first say that this town is full of leisure activities from exercising and biking along beautiful Mobile Bay to a full year-round calendar of events for the family to enjoy downtown. Within the neighborhood, there are numerous families with young children who play together and we have gotten together often for community birthday parties and community yard sales. For holidays like Halloween, the neighborhood comes alive! Also, I think it is important to note that residents on this street enjoy being outside tending their yards or walking the neighborhood. The neighbors know each other and happily interact regularly, but they also honor privacy and would not infringe on anyone, which is very important to us!”
