Agent: How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?
Seller: “We built this house ourselves.”
Agent: Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?
Seller: “YES! being in Fairhope schools was a very important factor for us, particularly the elementary school!”
Agent: What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?
Seller: 1)The Pecky Cypress cabinets are one of my favorite features in the kitchen. I’ve never seen or had cabinets as unique as these. 2)The tall glass doors leading onto the back porch (not sure if you would call those french doors, but it is 3 “doors” across the back porch). Be it a sunny or rainy day, having that visibility outdoors to watch the kids play in the cul-de-sac or watch the rain fall, it was always a nice view from the couch. 3)Having such a spacious laundry room with cabinets for storing additional items. I actually had my desk in the laundry room also, so it doubled as an office, I had that much space. 4)Having rear entry. It just gives the front such a clean appearance. 5)The high ceilings!”
Agent: Where do you find yourself spending the most time in the home and why?
Seller: “The kitchen. We love to cook. Anytime we had guests over we would end up gathering around the island while fixing meals.”
Agent: What improvements have you made to the home or property over the years?
Seller: “The fence is the only main improvement we did – we enclosed an area for kids and added a custom built playset and treehouse, as well as a separate dog fence area.”
Agent: What are your favorite grocery stores and shops in the area?
Seller: “I don’t live there anymore, so it’s hard to say. I guess Piggly Wiggly for grocery because they buy from local farmers.”
Agent: Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?
Seller: “There is a great canoe/kayak drop spot to Fish River just down the road on County Road 48. The neighborhood itself is great for running and biking.”
Agent: What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?
Seller: “I will miss the neighborhood and the neighbors the most. Long Pine Estates is a great Fairhope subdivision to live in. There are neighborhood parties and gatherings, community yard sales, and just an overall sense of family to the neighborhood. I made lifelong friends while living there!”
Agent: If you don’t mind me asking, why have you decided to sell your home?
Seller: “The ONLY reason is because we relocated to Colorado. It is a wonderful home and location, and if we were still there, we would still be in it!”
