JWRE: “What were the deciding factors that let you to buy this beautiful home in Hunter’s Cove?”
Seller: “We searched a lot of homes in the area and there were two things that stood out most about this home. First, we loved the location! It was super close to Interstate 10 and a top rated elementary school, as well as all or favorite shopping stores and restaurants. Second, we loved all the extra bonus spaces in this home and how filled with light it was. The minute I walked through the door, I knew we would be calling it home.”
JWRE: “You mentioned that the school district was definitely a factor in the purchase of the home. Can you elaborate on that a little?”
Seller: “Yes of course, at the time we had only one child but knew she would become school age in the home. Our local school, Meadowlake Elementary, is a top notch school and we always felt involved and that our child was in good hands. Our daughter thrived at and its one of the things we will really miss about the area.”
JWRE: “What are a couple of your favorite places to shop nearby?”
Seller: “There are a lot of places to choose from, but I found myself at Super Target the most. Since Rouse’s went in a few months ago, that also became a go to store for us.”
JWRE: “Any places of personal interest or hobbies that you might enjoy close to home?”
Seller: “Our daughter has been in a ton of sports in the Mobile County area including community soccer, horseback riding, and gymnastics. There are tons of activities for kids!”
JWRE: “What have become your favorite aspects of the home?”
Seller: “I think every home has places that become special to its owners and this home was no exception. Personally, I enjoyed the great space off the main living area that could be used for a playroom, tv room, really anything you want it to be! We ended up using it as an office and it allowed whomever was in there to keep an eye on the whole family and stay involved, but also stay separate while working, which was huge for me!”
JWRE: “Where do you find yourselves spending the most time in the home and why?”
Seller: “We had two spaces we spent the most time in, the downstairs bonus room and the upstairs bonus room. Upstairs was our play area and we always had a houseful of kids at our house playing. As I mentioned before, the downstairs bonus space became our office since we both worked out of our home. The layout of the floor plan is one that everyone can actually feel really bonded and included.”
JWRE: “Have you made any improvements to the home, since you purchased it?”
Seller: “When we first came in, we added a 6 foot fence and plantation blinds. We also refinished the garage floor to make it easier to clean, upgraded all the appliances, added new light fixtures and fans and changed out some of the smaller fixtures like toilet paper holders and towel bars.”
JWRE: “Do you know approximately what your average utility costs are in the summer and winter?”
Seller: “With a busy house like ours, we used a ton of water and a ton of electricity on a daily basis, but even so our rates were super reasonable. During the summer we had a big water slide in the backyard that ran nearly all day with the kids playing for 3 months but even so, our water bill has always been around $70, including sewer. Our electricity was between $145 low and $210 during the high summer months.”
JWRE: “What do you miss most about the home?”
Seller: “It was our home and we had a ton of amazing memories there. The home saw a lot of love and a great family. Ill miss the full house of every kid coming over and “hanging out”, the separate play spaces, the beautiful lighting in the dining area and the low maintenance yard.”
JWRE: “What do you miss most about life in Hunter’s Cove?”
Seller: “Our family was part of the HOA so to watch the neighborhood grow from a smaller community to a really robust one full of activity and beautiful landscaping is hard to leave. Even now driving up to the property feels like a part of our hearts are still there. I will miss how safe the kids were riding their bikes, the close proximity to the schools, and all the mature trees. I will miss standing outside talking to the neighbors at night all watching our kids play. We loved that house and I know it will find the best family that will fill it with laughter and love like we did.”
