The sellers were looking to build a home because the wife wanted it to be brand new, and as she put it, she wanted to get away from her old neighborhood with the CAT LADY next door! They found this floor plan in a book and they fell in love with it.  The bonus was that it has the 4th bedroom with an in-suite bathroom, which was going to be perfect for her father. It would provide privacy for her dad while living in the home. They still had one child living at home and they were looking to move from the Daphne School system to the Fairhope Schools so that she could finish out in Fairhope. So when deciding on a location to build their home, Fairhope was the only option. They chose White Grove subdivision due to the location. “It’s so close to everything. Only .8 miles from the Walmart, 2 miles from Fairhope Intermediate school and about 5 minutes from Downtown Fairhope–to include Fairhope Elementary.” Also don’t forget you have plenty of grocery options near by. There is Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie (which is the sellers’ favorite), and Piggly Wiggly.

Most of the time the family spends their time in the family room to watch TV and sit together and talk about what’s going on with their family and what happened that day. They find the area in their home very relaxing. Since owning 20555 Lowry Dr, they have added a chlorine pool and they are currently putting in a new liner. They have also put a NEW roof on about 3-4 years ago, NEW AC Unit 1.5 years ago, NEW flooring in the living room and hallway 6 months ago, NEW master bath vanities and a claw foot tub (added about 7- 8 years ago), granite in the kitchen about 8 years ago, and new appliances about 3 months ago.

Fairhope is a special place with so much to do. Being only 5 minutes from Downtown, you can take a stroll in the park, fish on the pier, watch romantic sunsets and have a picnic. You can also go shopping and dining at the many mom-and-pop owned boutiques and restaurants…which is one of the things that stands out about Fairhope. The community is all about supporting the locals. Now that they are getting older and no longer using the pool, they are looking to downsize the life and home. They will truly miss the location and the memories that they have created here. But they know God will bring the right buyer to their home and make many more memories for that family.
