Find so many comforts of home at this Great Starter Home in Bristol Creek Subdivision Daphne AL!
This Ranch-style home sits on a wooded level lot in the middle of Daphne. When the sellers first laid their eyes on this home, they knew based on the natural front and back yard and the spaciousness of the master bedroom that the deal was sealed: this would be their first home to where they would later bring their 2 children home from the hospital. As a young couple, schools were not a factor in the sellers’ decision at that time but after living in Bristol Creek Subdivision for some time, they were so thankful to be across from the high school so they could walk to support the Daphne football team. They loved going to the games and watching the kids play.
Most of the time, the sellers found themselves spending the most time at the dining room table, looking into the backyard during dinner and thinking about how serene their view was. Read straight from one of the sellers about some of the family’s favorite aspects of 29251 Canterbury Road:“The light comes in those big windows so beautifully and since the area is more natural, there are always squirrels and birds to watch! And the nook in the 2nd bedroom will always be my favorite spot in the house. First it held my desk, then the rocking chair where I rocked both my babies, night after night.”
Since they have owned the home the sellers have “replaced all the flooring- new carpet in the bedrooms, laminate flooring in the common areas and even the bathroom flooring has been replaced from the original builder-basic! We also updated the fireplace surround and mantle. Most all the lights in the house have LED bulbs. There is also a smart-home ready and fully wireless alarm system. There are network plugs in most of the rooms of the house connected with a central switch.”
The BEST thing about this house is its location!! It is equally distant to almost everything in the area! The Eastern Shore Center is a quick trip up Hwy 181, and Target (and the new eateries on Hwy 98) are just as quick a trip down County Road 13. From the sellers: “We frequent the Dollar General around the corner on 13, for those times you realize you are out of milk or bread (or TP!) or when you just need a bedtime snack. And we’ve taken many walks to the Subway in the gas station on the corner. The sidewalk in the neighborhood makes a great running loop. It is almost exactly 1 mile around the whole neighborhood, or add in the cul-de-sacs for a 2 mile route. For longer distances just cross the road and make a few laps around the track at the high school stadium!”
When asked that they will miss most, the sellers replied “I’ll miss walks to the playground at the back of the neighborhood and walking to football games.” The only reason why they are even moving is just from outgrowing the home with 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog and a home office. Otherwise, nothing could convince them to leave this home they loved and in which they have created so many wonderful memories!
