The beautiful focal point of downtown Fairhope, Alabama is Fairhope’s City Clock Downtown.
The popular street clock at the corner of Section Street and Fairhope Avenue is an amazing landmark in Fairhope. It is a testimony to a very benevolent resident who wanted to do something for his hometown when he passed away. The director of the museum, Donnie Barrett, states that when Mr. Lawrence Curtis Tuck passed away in 1989, his family donated the beautiful street clock to the City in his memory.
Many times this is used as a focal point for photos and a landmark for directions to various sights and businesses in downtown. A great meeting place for the ever popular monthly Artwalks held the first Friday of each month. It has become a notable corner for photographers.
