For an up-close glimpse into life at 410 Wisteria Street, please review the following interview between the Seller and his Jason Will Real Estate Agent.  Avail yourself to valuable insight about the home itself, as well as the surrounding community, including local shopping and dining favorites!

Agent:  How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?

Seller:  “I built this house in 1996, but moved to Colorado ten years later to pursue skiing and business opportunities. I still spend time in the house when I visit my American Chocolate Fountain® factory in Fairhope. Its comforting to manufacture in Fairhope and export to China.”
Agent:  What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?

Seller:  “I probably enjoy sitting on the porch swing and talking with my neighbors every evening most. Otherwise I entertain from the kitchen, eventually moving to one of the three outdoor decks.

Safest place during a hurricane within 200 miles! Built to withstand winds in excess of 150 miles per hour. With wall poured solid with “bunker-grad” concrete reinforced with steel, and bolted from foundation to roof, this is the safest house in Fairhope. Live in comfort with a natural gas generator that kicks on during any power outage and runs all the lower-level utilities, including one of the two air conditioners with this home.

Roofs are 5/8” plywood, floors are 1” plywood, and under-sheeting is all plywood. There is no chipboard in this home.

At one the highest points in Fairhope (90 feet above sea level), flooding is not an issue.”

Agent:  Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?

Seller:  “On Fridays, my wife and I will downtown to Red & White, or go to “Art Walk” to visit with friends. I like this area better than “fruit and nut” (even though sits next to it) because these are homes where families live, not someone who has come down and bull-dozed the town’s charm and built “Miami Vice” monstrosities with “Keep Away” signs.. This is a neighborhood where I have watched children grow up, and who are now my neighbors with children of their own. A day does not go by when I don’t think about my Fairhope home.”
Agent:  What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?

Seller:  “I think about hurricanes, and how everyone ends up at my house to be safe and eat and drink. That, and they can stay in town during evacuations to protect their home and possessions. I think of walking down to Jubilees and scooping up shrimp and flounder at the beach while drinking beer and chatting with friends. Nothing better on a warm July night. I think about the next person who lives here, and how happy their life will be. But beware, when the late summer winds arrive, so will lots of friends.”
