Cottages For Sale Fairhope AL by Sarha Williams with the Jason Will Real Estate Team
We hope you can make it to our Open House, this Saturday 1/14 from 1-3 pm at 517 Grand Avenue. Please feel free to call or text Sarha with questions at 251-709-1595.
Sarha: How did you know this was the home for you?
Seller: We fell in love with this precious cottage, especially after learning that it was way more cost effective than renting in Fairhope. We also knew that Fairhope real estate is a great investment.
Sarha: Were local schools a factor?
Seller: No, but Fairhope Elementary is right around the corner, and we understand that the reputation of the local school district would be a great selling point when the time came.
Sarha: What do you feel are the top selling features of your cottage?
Seller: The walkability is our favorite. We can walk to town and to our favorite coffee shop, The Coffee Loft, and we can ride bikes down to Mobile Bay to catch the occasional epic sunset over the bay. The cottage is so easy to maintain, from exterior, roof, to the yard.
Sarha: What are your favorite rooms in the home?
Seller: We spend the majority of our time either visiting in the kitchen or relaxing on the back deck. The kitchen is super spacious and gets lots of natural light. The rear outdoor living space is really peaceful. It’s a great spot to sip our morning coffee or BBQ with friends before walking downtown to enjoy a cocktail or listen to some live music.
Sarha: Have you guys made any improvement while you’ve owned it?
Seller: We have done lots of updating, to include:
- New Flooring
- New Subfloor
- New Paint
- Updated Kitchen
- Updated Baths
Sarha: What are some of your favorite local shops?
Seller: Being the owners of R-Bistro, we’re a little biased. R-Bistro is moving into the Piggly Wiggly dowontown, so we’re really excited about the next chapter. That said, we love Billy’s Seafood, Fairhope Furniture, and as I mentioned prior, Coffee Loft is the best!
Sarha: Any favorite community events?
Seller: We love the fact that the City of Fairhope has so a robust community event calendar and that we can walk to it all! Parking dowtown can be really difficult, especially for the annual Lighting of the Trees ceremony, Mardi Gras, and the Arts and Crafts Festival, so it’s nice to be able to walk or bike to everything. We also love the proximity to the bay and boating. Freedom Boat Club is super close to the cottage.
Sarha: What are your average utilities during peak hi/low temps?
Seller: It averages $150 for everything, to include: electric, gas, trash, and water.
Sarha: What will y’all miss most about living here?
Seller: We miss our neighbors terribly and we just love the quaintness of the Fairhope community.
Sarha: Why are you selling?
Seller: I was offered an opportunity in New York that I just couldn’t pass up.
