Concerning the “nuts and bolts” of the property, it has a new HVAC unit with two thermostats, one for each floor;  also, with a dampener for energy efficiency.  Outside, the driveway has been completely replaced and widened.  Professional landscaping and mature trees give the home excellent curb appeal!  Off the side of the house is a fabulous deck: great for cookouts and entertaining friends and family.  In the backyard is a detached workshop and office, perfect for all the projects and privacy needed by the man of the house! The workshop (15’x16’) is wired with 230 volt power.  The separate office (8’x10’) is also wired and insulated.

The current owners have designed and remodeled this beautiful home with excellence and personal care.  Now, they have simply outgrown their beloved cottage and need more space for their growing family.  The following statements are from a personal interview with the sellers, giving a unique inside perspective of 400 Circle Drive:

Jason:   How did you know this was the home you were meant to buy?

Seller:  “We were interested in a charming, older home in the downtown area. When we came across this house, the walls were gutted and there wasn’t any charm BUT we knew it was the one. We could envision everything from where the couch would go and what color granite we would install.”

Jason:   Were schools a factor in your decision to purchase this home?

Seller:  “When we purchased this home, schools were not a factor. Now that we have one kid and one on the way, we are so sad to move away from walking distance to the elementary school.”

Jason:  What have become your top 5-10 favorite features of the home?

Seller:  “By far the best thing about the home is the unique charm. Every detail was individually, and purposefully picked out which makes for a welcoming space that you’ve never seen in another home. The property also comes with private deeded bay access just yards away, and we have had numerous picnic dates at sunset. Downtown is steps away, which allows for easy access via car or foot. The fact that the home sits on the end of a cul-de-sac allows little to no through-traffic.  Lastly, the home has a surprising amount of storage space, including a large pantry and linen closet.”

Jason:  Where do you find yourself spending the most time in the home and why?

Seller:  “The most time in the home is spent in the living room because it opens directly into the kitchen and allows lots of natural light. During the day, I hardly ever turn on a light.”

Jason:  What are the most important improvements you have made to your home?

Seller:  “There are too many improvements to list, as we found the house when it was pretty much bare bones, but some of the biggest improvements are completely new (and wider) driveway, professional landscaping, huge workshop and office in the backyard, and all of the finishes inside (including granite counters in kitchen and baths, engineered hardwood floors, subway tile, neutral paint).”

Jason:   What are your favorite grocery stores and shops in the area?

Seller:  “With downtown being steps away, all of the shops are readily accessible. My favorite grocery store is Winn-Dixie, which is a couple of miles away.”

Jason:  Any interests or hobbies you enjoy on or near the property?

Seller:  “We have kayaked on the bay using our private bay access and we also enjoy tanning and picnicking there.”

Jason:  What will you miss most about living in or owning this property, as well as the surrounding community?

Seller:Luckily we plan to stay in the area, but I will definitely miss walking to downtown. I will miss the comfort of the cozy neighborhood and the peace and quiet that the property holds.”
